Whole-House Rewiring
Replace knob-and-tube, aluminum, or failing cloth-insulated wiring with modern copper. Insurance-grade documentation included.
If your home was built before 1965 and still has its original wiring, your homeowner's insurance probably knows. Knob-and-tube and early aluminum branch wiring are tied directly to fire-claim payouts being denied — and several Durham insurers now require documented rewiring before they'll renew a policy.
We rewire the whole house in stages so you keep power overnight, route through existing wall cavities wherever possible (no full drywall demo for most homes), and provide an insurance-grade certificate of completion when we're done.
Best fit for: pre-1965 craftsman bungalows, homes with two-prong outlets throughout, properties with aluminum branch circuits flagged on a recent inspection, and historic Durham/Chapel Hill homes pursuing major renovations.
